Investment needed in UK bathing water.

 Wednesday 23 May 2012

The European Environment Agency has urged the British government to invest now to ensure clean bathing water. In the agency’s annual report, 14 beaches across the UK failed to meet the minimum standards set down in European law. The Agency has compared bathing water data from all around Europe. Scientists expect climate change to mean more intense rainfall and worsening conditions. Executive Director Jacqueline McGlade says although budgets are tight, spending money now to adapt will pay off in the future.
