Scottish MEP wants EU-wide cap on caffeine in alcohol.

 Tuesday 13 March 2012

A cap on caffeine in alcohol should be brought in Europe-wide, not just in Scotland. That's according to Scottish Labour MEP Catherine Stihler. Her party has launched a 14 point plan on how to deal with Scotland's unhealthy relationship with alcohol. Catherine Stihler has previously called for a total ban on pre-mixed caffeinated alcoholic drinks. Denmark already has a caffeine limit, which Labour now wants to see replicated in Scotland. It’s a model Catherine Stihler would like to see adopted as a minimum standard right across Europe.
